Yosemite has always been a dream of ours and who would not dream to go to this magical place? Visiting Yosemite should be on everyone's list, with giant pine trees cascading throughout the whole park, endless views of Half Dome, El Capitan and the upper and lower Yosemite Falls makes this place perfect for every person seeking adventure or a peaceful getaway.

Our trip began flying direct to San Francisco via Philippine Airlines, staying the night in San Francisco and taking a four hour drive to Yosemite. An ideal number of days to stay in Yosemite is a whole week because to explore the whole place is impossible in less than that. We stayed for four days and it was not enough. It was a first for us to experience the snow and Yosemite in the winter time is magical. To see the whole place covered in snow was just the most amazing thing we've ever seen.  Yosemite entrance fee: $30 per car.

Tunnel View, also known as the place where the MAC OS X Wallpaper was shot, was beyond expectation. We were driving to Yosemite Village as we passed this place just after the tunnel to see El Capitan (on the left), Bridalveil Falls (right), and Half Dome (straight ahead). No words or photos can ever express how beautiful this place is in person.

Yosemite is easy to navigate, you just need your own car and a GPS to be able to get around, although in the winter time, there are many closed roads due to snow, so Glacier Point is a place that you cannot visit at this season. Your cars will need chains and you must drive carefully because there are icy roads everywhere.

Another place to visit in Yosemite is Mirror Lake which is easily accessible via Yosemite's Bus Service which goes around the whole park and stops at the main attractions and comes by every 20 minutes. The hike to Mirror Lake is about 30-minutes to an hour depending on your pace but for us, it took quite a while because every place we look deserves a photo. During the winter time, the lake is completely frozen, but that doesn't make this place any less beautiful.

Yosemite Valley to me, is always a sunrise, a glitter of green and gold wonder in a vast edifice of stone and space

The most amazing time to visit Yosemite is in the wintertime despite the -10 degree celsius weather because of the amazing snow capped mountains and trees, the softest, purest snow, and the other amazing things you can experience like snow fall. Many other trails are accessible during the summer and spring but that is when you will catch a crowd, but we will definitely be back in other seasons because this place is too amazing not to come back to.

It's really challenging to book a room in The Majestic Yosemite Hotel because of its one year waitlist, but there are tons of Airbnb's that can be found around the park, we suggest to book a house within the park and just drive out everyday. The park is so big that it takes about 30 minutes to an hour to get from an Airbnb to Yosemite Village, but the drive is worth it because every route is a scenic one.

Yosemite is one of the most amazing places we have ever been to, and if you find yourself in San Francisco, take a trip to Yosemite and see all the amazing things about this place. If you have any other tips, comments/suggestions, we'd love to hear them in the comments below!
